This workshop will build upon the groundwork of the previous CSM online workshop, which took place in December 2020.
We will continue to explore opportunities for cooperation between public and private sector financial institutions and the gaps in finance for climate, sustainabile development and trade
Our overall objective continues to be facilitating exchange of information among the various stakeholders of international finance:
The workshop will take place on two days (7th and 10th June 2021), with structured small-group discussion during the days in between.
The programme for presentations and specific discussion topics is under development. If you would like to be involved in this, or table a proposal for discussion during the workshop, please email Paul Heaney at the Berne Union Secretariat.
The opening day of the workshop will be structured around a series of presentations and discussions to frame the themes of the meeting and introduce the discussion topics for engagement between participants.
Our Steering Group is currently working to develop themes and a programme for the meeting. If you would like to propose a presentation topic, suggest a speaker/panellist or nominate yourself, please contact Paul Heaney at the Berne Union Secretariat.
Participants will be assigned groups according to their background and time zone and asked to brainstorm views on topics set to compliment the discussions from Monday.
Group facilitators will organise a suitable method for the group to exchange views (email, video call etc.) and will collect feedback from their group for further discussion on 10th June.
The full group will reconvene on Thursday for a shorter session online during whichthe group facilitators will present feedback on each discussion and compare responses across all participants.
After this, final questions, wrap up and next steps for future CSM exchanges.
Throughout the webinar we will provide participants with an opportunity to share experiences and ask questions.
